What is HDR Photography (or High Dynamic Range Photography as it is also known)?
For the purpose of this article, we are referring to HDR Photography as “a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminance between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniquesâ€. It allows photographers to show the details of a picture more realistically, sometimes, so much so that it almost looks unreal. Simply put: it looks much cooler, not just in parts, but as a whole. Pictures explain this concept alot better than words do, so follow along.

- We do not wish to rank these images as they are all quite amazing, in our opinion, and in no way have been given a placement based on their quality.
- This is a very small collection, and in no way attempts to show a complete set of HDR photos out there; please understand that we cannot cover everything out there, for the sake of brevity, we have only chosen 20 photos we saw fit.
