50 Creative Movie Posters

Movie posters are not only a form of art, but advertising as well. Of course, art and advertising have gone together like peas and carrots since the early ages of cinema, and modern times are no exception. A movie poster has to portray an image of an upcoming movie, and it only has a limited amount of space and time to do that for potential viewers. For the most part, movie posters tend to remain minimalistic, trying to express a single message about the upcoming movie that the production company wants to stress above all others. It takes a very creative mind to do this effectively, and sometimes, a movie poster can become a classic work of art.

More than just art, movie posters have become collectibles within the vast industry of movie memorabilia. Having a single image that is meant to represent and entire movie is part of what makes the posters so important to many people, as people tend to identify themselves with certain movies, as well as music. Of course, sometimes we all just like looking at fantastic art, and it’s simply a bonus that they can remind us of our favorite films. Lets take a look at 50 examples of incredibly creative movie posters from days of old and new. If this post isn’t enough for you, there are over 20 resources listed below the images that will take you to even more movie poster madness! Enjoy!
