This is a nice effect to use on certain images, but sometimes it is a little hard to get it, because using the Horizontal Type Tool, makes your text look like it’s floating somewhere over the image. Wouldn’t it be great to make the text looks as if it would actually blend with your original image?

So, to show you an example of how it’s done, I chose this image by fmuller @DeviantArt. This is the link. (incredible image, I might add)

Open the image. I chose the Georgia font, sized at 18 px. For the color, I chose the color from the clouds (use the Eyedropper Tool). I got #f6e2c1. You might use this or something similar.

Add a regular text – whatever you want. It can be a quote… Anything! I wrote ‘Only an open road ahead’.

Now, first of all go to Edit> Free Transform, place your cursor somewhere around the text and make it go along with the road:

Now, keep Ctrl pressed as you continue Transforming your text. You should start by tugging on the middle, top square. Tug on it downwards (still holding Ctrl) and it will look as if it blends with the ground.

Next you can move it a little around the image, you can rotate it, you can change it’s side.

And you’re done.
