Create a Web 2.0 Looking Star-Shaped Label in Photoshop

Download files: sh.zip

1. Create a new Photoshop document (CTRL+N) with the size 500px by 500px and fill it with #FFFFFF color.

2. Open 1.png file I provided you and select it (CTRL+A) , copy (CTRL+C) and insert this image into your new Photoshop document (CTRL+V):

Save the file.

3. Double-click on the “Layer 1″ to open the Layer Style window and use the settings from the following images:

Gradient Overlay:

Stroke:

Bevel and Emboss:

Inner Glow:

Drop Shadow:

4. Save the style:

5. Here is our image now:

6. Use the Type Tool (T) to write your text (#FFFFFF):

then double click on the text’s layer to open the Layer Style window and apply Drop Down Shadow and Gradient Overlay:

And here is our result:

You can make a color adjustment with a Hue/Saturation tool (Image >Adjustments > Hue/Saturation…):
