WordPress is one of the best platforms around, and for blogging it’s hands down the best. The options you have are limitless and it’s extremely simple to make changes and upgrades to your web site. In this tutorial, we will show you how simple it is to change your WordPress theme.
1.) Login to your WordPress Dashboard and you will see the “Appearance” button on the left hand side of the screen near the middle. Click on “Appearance”.
2.) Once clicked, select the “Add New Themes†link.
3.) While on the “Add New Themes” page, click on the “Upload†link in the menu list.
4.) Click the “Browse†button and select the desired WordPress theme’s .zip file from your computer.
5.) Once your file has been selected, click on the “Install Now†button.
6.) You should receive a confirmation that your theme has now been installed. Now you just need to click the “Activate” link.
Your new WordPress theme is active and running. To change this theme to another, simply repeat the process or go to the “Appearance” link again for WordPress themes options.

Great tutorial, but what if you’ve already established comments on previous posts, added media files, etc. Will all that be lost (after a year’s worth of blogging) when you activate a new theme?
I’ve been wanting to change the appearance of my theme but I’m afraid of loosing all the content that’s already there. I’m also afraid of loosing comments from current giveaway posts I have.
Can you help?
